Serie SC - Corrosion-resistant

With the SC series, corrosion-resistant linear units are available for service in a difficult environment or which can frequently be cleaned.
The SC series is employed as a vertical unit in which the aluminium profile forms the moving part and the runner carriage the fixed element of the installation.

In three sizes, 65, 130 and 160 mm, this series offers a special solution for highly-loaded and if required dynamic applications, especially for “z-axes” using generously-proportioned linear guidance with ball cage technology and timing belts.

Anodised aluminium (type Anticorodal 6060 and 6082) forms the basis of the corrosion-resistant version of the SC series, while ball-bearings, ball-races, unions and other components are manufactured in corrosion-resistant steel (AISI 303 and 404C). With the use of these materials, corrosion caused by moisture can be prevented or at least substantially delayed.
Use of the corrosion-resistant series is authorised in both the food processing industry and pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. In general, a surface coating specially approved for the purpose and the use of special lubricants prevent the surroundings being dirtied by the linear units.

Thanks to an integrated relubrication system ("Maintenance-free system") for all corrosion-resistant linear units with either caged ball or spacers (with the exception of "clean-room" applications and applications in which synthetic lubricants are prohibited), manual relubrication of the axles is no longer necessary.
